Ride or Die: Why I love Vivo Life Vegan Protein

I first discovered Vivo Life Vegan Protein two years ago when someone made a smoothie for me. I was in the middle of taking care of some difficult personal business and food was the last thing on my mind. I was focused on simply getting through the next few days somewhat sane.
During one of those days someone offered to make a smoothie for me with a really great protein powder they were using and I said, “sure, why not.” Until then I didn’t have particularly strong feelings either way about protein powders. I thought they were mainly for guys who lifted weights.
The smoothie the person made for me was made from: almond milk, banana, frozen blueberries, a handful of spinach and a big scoop of Vegan Protein in dark chocolate. With zero expectations about it, I chugged it down.
WOW.
Not only was it incredibly delicious, it perked me up mentally and revived and sustained me physically even though I was incredibly stressed out. The argument could be made that since I hadn’t eaten much and was already feeling kind of dumpy anyway, putting anything remotely nutritious into my mouth could have revived me.
Yes. anything I ate would have definitely perked me up.
But also, no. This hit so differently physically and mentally I knew there was something almost magical about the protein powder. Not only did it revive me in a meaningful way, but it sustained me for a really long time thereafter.
The primary sources of protein in this powder are fermented pea protein, hemp seed, and pumpkin seed. It is sweetened with stevia, and having tried both the vanilla and dark chocolate flavors, the dark chocolate wins. They are both good, there’s nothing wrong with the vanilla at all, but the chocolate one just adds a lot of richness and depth to any shake or smoothie, no matter what other fruits or veggies you add, but without being overpowering or overly sweet.
I make mine with unsweetened almond milk (occasionally with grass-fed organic dairy milk), a tablespoon each of chia, flax, a ground raw nut and seed mixture, a frozen banana, and frozen mixed berries from Costco, or frozen blueberries. I also mix in a scoop of powder into pancake batter, or to some variation of muffins with oats, chia, flax, eggs, banana, and a few dark chocolate chunks.
YUM.
Vivo Life Vegan Protein has been a part of my life ever since that first sip two years ago. Apart from the fact that it really sustains me physically, I also love how it significantly improves my state of mind. It is very soothing and helps me stay clear headed and grounded. In fact, it’s one of my go-to grounding activities when I start to feel out of storts and mentally discombobulated: make a Vegan Protein smoothie. Vivo Life Vegan Protein is one of my top 10 all time health and wellness products that has worked really well for me, and indispensable part of my current fitness journey.
You can purchase Vivo Life Vegan Protein here. Please note: the Vivo store link in protein powder listing, is NOT Vivo Life, so be sure to visit the actual Vivo Life Amazon store to check out some of their other products. I’ve also tried Whole a whole food meal replacement powder. Between the two though, the Vegan Protein still wins for me. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s made a huge difference for me, and I hope it does for you too.
